General Observations - Whatever number it may be

Hello readers,
Sorry, once again for the late posts, but it seems that is going to be the case till next year's May or so.
It's exam season here in India, which, for the serious student, lasts for about half an year.
It all starts around 2 years before.
An exam to enter an instituition which will train you for the next 2 years for a nation-wide exam, by teaching and more examinations for that examination - and I'm not even talking about the colleges!
In India, we basically have a 10+2 education system, i.e. 3 years of kindergarten (I am quite certain that that is a German word), followed by 10 years of schooling. An important board exam after the 10th Std. and then entry into college, which basically means entry into a college and some institution for most. After 2 years in this college - junior college - there is the 12th Board or the HSC Board, which is the 'do or die' exam here, for which and some others I am currently studying, like the all-important previously mentioned JEE.
Do comment if deemed necessary!

The Effect of Chemistry in Everyday Lives

The Effect of Chemistry in Everyday Lives that I am going to be writing is probably not what you expected.
Whenever I am in the chemistry laboratory, I feel rejuvenated, which I take as evidence that I am destined to do something interesting in chemistry. I made short work of today's college chemistry practical - inorganic qualitative analysis for basic radicals - cations - and wrapped up the session in 50 minutes, though I got the answer in the first 15, the rest was just a formality, including the write-up.
That's for me.
For other people - I don't know why I don't call them 'idiots' - how hard is it to remember to put concentrated acid SLOWLY in aqueous media?!
Yes, another person got acid burns.
The other day, a girl squirted concentrated nitric acid on her own hand! What idiocy!

Today, I had to find the cations in the given salt.
After the cobalt nitrate test, I observed Rinmann green, therefore, zinc.
Second, when I heated the mixture of salts with NaOH, I got ammonia, and so basically confirmed ammonium, and the white precipitate dissolved in excess of NaOH! I was done, right then!
