The Effect of Chemistry in Everyday Lives

The Effect of Chemistry in Everyday Lives that I am going to be writing is probably not what you expected.
Whenever I am in the chemistry laboratory, I feel rejuvenated, which I take as evidence that I am destined to do something interesting in chemistry. I made short work of today's college chemistry practical - inorganic qualitative analysis for basic radicals - cations - and wrapped up the session in 50 minutes, though I got the answer in the first 15, the rest was just a formality, including the write-up.
That's for me.
For other people - I don't know why I don't call them 'idiots' - how hard is it to remember to put concentrated acid SLOWLY in aqueous media?!
Yes, another person got acid burns.
The other day, a girl squirted concentrated nitric acid on her own hand! What idiocy!

Today, I had to find the cations in the given salt.
After the cobalt nitrate test, I observed Rinmann green, therefore, zinc.
Second, when I heated the mixture of salts with NaOH, I got ammonia, and so basically confirmed ammonium, and the white precipitate dissolved in excess of NaOH! I was done, right then!
